How Southwest Communications, Inc. (“SCi”, “we”) collects, uses and protects information on scitel.net and when you contact us.
Information we collect
- Details you send through the proposal-request form: your name, company, work email, phone number, the service you’re asking about, the size of your business, your timeline and your message.
- Details you give us by phone, text message or email, including when you ask for support.
- Technical information needed to run and protect the site, such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you visit. Our hosting provider processes this to deliver pages and block abuse.
What stays on your device
- The site remembers one preference in your browser’s local storage: whether you paused the animated header. Nothing else is stored, and nothing is sent to SCi until you press Send on a form.
- You can clear it any time in your browser’s site settings.
How we use information
- To reply to you, prepare and follow up on proposals, and provide and support the services you order.
- To route your request to the right person. We use automated tools for this, for example turning an email to our support address into a support ticket.
- To operate, secure and improve the website.
We do not sell, trade or rent your personal information.
Text messages
- If you give us a mobile number, we use it to reply about your request and to support your services. We send text messages only to people who have agreed to receive them.
- Message frequency varies, and message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help at any time.
- We do not share mobile phone numbers, or text-messaging opt-in data and consent, with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. The sharing described in this policy excludes text-messaging originator opt-in data and consent, which is not shared with any third parties.
Calls, AI and automation
- Calls to SCi may be answered by an automated or AI assistant, and may be recorded or transcribed for quality, training and support. Where the law requires it, we tell you at the start of the call.
- When we use AI services to help with your request, we choose services and settings that do not use your information to train public AI models.
Who we share it with
- Service providers that host the website and handle our email, forms and support tickets, such as Cloudflare and Microsoft 365. They may use it only to provide those services to SCi.
- Carriers and technology partners, only when needed to design, price or deliver a service you asked about.
- Registries and carriers, when you ask us to register your business for texting, for example 10DLC brand and campaign registration with The Campaign Registry.
- Government authorities, when the law requires it.
Bot protection, cookies and analytics
- Our forms may use Cloudflare Turnstile to confirm that a person, not a bot, is sending them. Turnstile looks at browser and device signals for that purpose only.
- The site does not use advertising cookies. We may use analytics tools such as Google Analytics to understand which pages help visitors. They use cookies that you can block or delete in your browser.
Security and retention
We use reasonable safeguards, including encrypted HTTPS connections, to protect the information you send us. No method of sending data over the internet is completely secure. We keep inquiry and proposal records for as long as we need them for the purposes above and for our business records.
Your choices
To see, correct or delete information you’ve sent us, or to stop marketing messages, email info@scitel.net or call (816) 298-4100. To stop text messages, reply STOP.
Children
This site is for businesses and isn’t directed to children under 13. We don’t knowingly collect their information.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
