Managed IT and help desk
One help desk for your IT, phones and network.
Managed IT for small and mid-size businesses, run by the same team that handles phones, internet and networks. Your staff email or call one help desk for all of it, and we deal with the carriers and vendors so you don’t have to.
- Email us and a ticket opens automatically
- Specialists on duty 24/7/365
- One contact for every carrier and vendor
- SCi engineers on every project
What we handle
IT support that covers your people, devices, network and vendors
Take the pieces you need or hand us the whole list. Each one runs through the same help desk and the same engineers who look after phones and internet, so problems don’t fall into the gap between providers.
Help Desk for Your Staff
scisupport@scitel.net · (816) 298-4100
Your staff email scisupport@scitel.net and a ticket opens automatically, with the ticket number in their inbox right away. Or they call (816) 298-4100, any hour.
- Computer, phone and network issues in one queue
- Any staff member can open a ticket
- Every request tracked by its ticket number
Managed IT, Monitoring and Updates
24/7 monitoring · patching · security alerts
We monitor your network around the clock, keep computers and servers updated and patched on a schedule, and act on security alerts. When something goes down, monitoring opens a ticket on its own and escalates to the carrier if the fault is theirs.
- Monitoring that opens its own tickets
- Updates and patches on a set schedule
- Security alerts reviewed and acted on
Network, Router and Firewall Management
Cisco Meraki · stateful firewalls · NetFlow
We configure and monitor your routers and firewalls, keep their settings and patches current, and use NetFlow traffic analysis to see what’s using your bandwidth. When we also run your internet and phones, a choppy call gets one diagnosis from one team.
- Router configuration and monitoring
- Managed firewalls with stateful inspection
- Traffic analysis that shows what uses bandwidth
- Guest and staff Wi-Fi, managed and monitored
Microsoft 365 and Email
Microsoft 365 · Microsoft Teams · Teams Phone
We set up and look after Microsoft 365 for your business: mailboxes, licenses, shared calendars and Teams. We also run Teams calling, so the same team handles the accounts and the phone numbers in them.
- Mailboxes, licenses and shared mailboxes
- Multi-factor authentication (MFA) for staff
- Email moves from your current provider
Computers, Users and Staff Changes
Tell us who’s starting and we set up the computer, accounts and phone extension before their first day. When someone leaves, we turn off their access and pass their email and files to whoever needs them.
- New-hire setup: computer, email and extension
- Access removed when someone leaves
- Printers, scanners and shared drives
- A current list of who has which device
Backup and Recovery
We back up the servers and computers that hold your business data to an off-site location, check that each backup actually ran, and restore a file or a whole system when you need it.
- Off-site copies of servers and key computers
- Backup checks, not just a schedule
- Restores from one file to a full system
- Phone system backups in our off-site vault
On-Site Support When It’s Needed
We start remotely and come to you when a problem needs hands on the equipment. Wherever your locations are, that means an SCi technician, a field partner, or the carrier’s or your own staff’s hands, with SCi coordinating.
- Remote help first, on site when needed
- SCi technicians and field partners nationwide
- Field partners and traveling techs elsewhere
- Carrier technician visits coordinated for you
Projects, Moves and New Locations
Internet · network · Wi-Fi · phones · cameras
For a new location, we plan the internet, network, Wi-Fi, phones and cameras as one project with one schedule, so you aren’t lining up five vendors for opening day. Office moves and moves to the cloud run the same way.
- One plan from internet to cameras
- Carrier lead times checked early, by address
- Office moves scheduled around your hours
- Files and email moved to the cloud
Vendor and Carrier Management
Carrier-neutral · 100+ carrier and technology partners
We’re your single point of contact for trouble with any carrier, whether or not we provide that service. We open the tickets, wait on hold and push the escalations, and your software, copier and other vendors get the same treatment.
- One contact for every carrier’s trouble
- Escalations handled, not handed back
- Many carriers’ invoices on one monthly bill
- Contract and renewal dates tracked
One help desk
One help desk, so nobody plays “not our problem”
When a call drops or a laptop can’t connect, you shouldn’t have to work out whose problem it is before you can ask for help.
In many offices the phones, internet, network and computers each come from a different company, and each one can point at the others. A choppy call could be the phone, the Wi-Fi, the firewall or the carrier, and from the outside it’s hard to tell. When SCi runs all of it, one team sees the whole path from the desk to the carrier and fixes the problem where it actually is.
If part of your setup belongs to someone else, we still take the call. We’re the single point of contact for trouble with any carrier, whether or not we provide that service, and we work with your other technology vendors the same way. Every request becomes a ticket with its own number, so nothing depends on someone remembering a phone call.
- One email address and one phone number for every IT, phone and network issue
- Problems traced from the desk to the carrier, not passed between vendors
- Carrier tickets opened and escalated for you, even on services we don’t provide
- Computer, email and phone extension set up together for each new hire
- Engineers who know your setup, on every project
What to Have Ready When You Call
- Who and Where
- Your name, your company, and the location or address with the problem.
- What You See
- The exact error message, a photo of the screen, or which lights are on or off on the equipment.
- When It Started
- When it began and what changed around then: a move, an update, a new device or a power outage.
- Who It Affects
- One person, one room, one location or everyone. It tells us where to look first.
- Emailing Instead
- Write to scisupport@scitel.net from your work address so the ticket lands on your company’s account.
Ways to work with us
Pick how we work with your team
Pick the model that fits how your business runs today. Your proposal spells out what we handle and what stays with you.
| How you work with us | Best for | What SCi handles | What stays with you |
|---|---|---|---|
| Alongside Your IT Person | Businesses with an IT manager, or a staff member who looks after IT on top of another job | Phones, network, firewalls, carriers and after-hours calls, plus extra help desk hands on busy days | Your business apps, day-to-day priorities and the projects your IT person wants to own |
| As Your IT Department | Small and mid-size businesses with nobody on staff whose job is IT | Help desk, computers, accounts, Microsoft 365, backups, network, phones, vendors and planning | Approvals and budget decisions, with our recommendations in writing |
| By the Project | A new location, an office move, a cloud move or a one-time cleanup | The project from plan to cutover, scoped in a written proposal first | Day-to-day support, unless you add a support plan afterwards |
Not sure which fits? Tell us how IT works at your business today and we’ll recommend a model in your proposal.
How it starts
How we take on your IT, step by step
It’s the path SCi follows on every project: discovery, analysis, implementation and life-cycle maintenance, applied to your computers, accounts and network.
Discovery and a Written Proposal
We learn how your office works, what keeps breaking and what you pay for today, then send an itemized proposal. Nothing is ordered until you approve it.
Inventory Users, Devices and Vendors
We document every user, computer, account, license, network device and vendor, with who to call and when each contract renews. Your IT stops living in one person’s head.
Stabilize and Secure
We fix the urgent things first, such as missing updates, firewalls past their support date, shared passwords and backups that aren’t running, then bring every device and account to the same standard.
Monitor and Maintain
Monitoring watches your network around the clock, updates go on a schedule, and tickets open on their own when something fails.
Plan Ahead With Regular Reviews
We review what broke, what’s aging and what’s up for renewal with you, so replacements and budget decisions come with notice instead of surprises.

Questions
Straight answers about IT support
Still unsure? Call (816) 298-4100 and an engineer will walk you through it.
Do you replace our IT person, or work with them?
Either. If you have an IT person, we can take the phones, network, firewalls, carriers and after-hours calls off their plate and back them up on everything else. If you don’t, we can act as your IT department. Your proposal spells out who handles what.
How do our staff get help?
Email scisupport@scitel.net from your work address and a ticket opens automatically, with the ticket number in your inbox right away. Or call (816) 298-4100, any hour. Computer, phone and network problems all go to the same help desk, so nobody has to guess who to contact.
What happens if something breaks after hours?
Call (816) 298-4100. Network technology specialists are on duty 24/7/365, including nights, weekends and holidays. Our monitoring also opens a ticket on its own when a connection or a piece of network equipment goes down, and escalates to the carrier when the fault is on their side.
Is support remote or on-site?
Both. We start remotely, and when a problem needs hands on the equipment, we send an SCi technician or a field partner, or work with the carrier’s or your own staff’s hands, with SCi coordinating the visit. It works the same way wherever your locations are.
Can you manage our vendors and carriers?
Yes. We’re the single point of contact for trouble with any carrier, whether or not we provide that service. We open the ticket, push the escalation and keep you posted. We can also bring many carriers’ invoices onto one monthly bill, and we work with your other technology vendors the same way.
What happens when someone joins or leaves?
Tell us who is starting and when, and we set up their computer, email, Microsoft 365 license and phone extension before day one. When someone leaves, we turn off their access, pass their email and files to whoever needs them, and wipe or reassign the device.
Can you take over from our current IT provider?
Yes. We start with an inventory of your users, devices, accounts and vendors, collect admin access and documentation from your current provider, and schedule the handover with you. Nothing changes hands until the plan is agreed.
How is IT support priced?
Every engagement is scoped to your people, devices and locations, so pricing comes in writing as an itemized proposal, with the terms set out too.
Let’s design solutions that enhance and optimize your business.
Tell us about your locations and what you want to optimize. An engineer will reply with a written, itemized proposal. Nothing is ordered until you approve it.
