- 3CX, Microsoft Teams or the system you own
- Business texting with carrier registration handled
- Reuse many Yealink and Grandstream phones
Voice and messaging services
Calling, texting, fax and numbers, designed together
Start with the calling setup that fits: 3CX, Microsoft Teams or the phone system you already own. Then add texting, call queues, fax and numbers as you need them. We design, install and support every piece.
3CX Phone Systems, Hosted or On-Site
3CX V20 · hosted by SCi or on-site
A complete business phone system that we host for you or run on a server at your office, on desk phones and mobile and desktop apps. We set it up, manage it and keep it backed up off-site.
- Auto attendants, ring groups and queues
- Call recording and video meetings
- Hotel front-desk system integration
- Add our Intelligent Receptionist to answer calls
Microsoft Teams Calling
Direct Routing · SCi session border controller
Give Teams a real dial tone. Direct Routing connects Teams to our own voice gateway, so your people make and take business calls in the Teams app they already use, on the numbers you already have.
- Works with Microsoft Teams Phone licenses
- Mix Teams users and desk phones
- Your numbers ported and assigned in Teams
- Gateway run and monitored by SCi
SIP Trunks for the Phone System You Own
For 3CX, Avaya, NEC, Mitel, Cisco and most IP-PBXs
SIP (Session Initiation Protocol) trunks are phone lines delivered over your data connection. They replace older PRI digital circuits and analog lines, so the PBX (business phone system) you own keeps working on modern carrier service.
- Delivered through Telnyx and partners
- Add capacity for more calls at once
- Toll-free numbers on the same trunks
- Toll-fraud monitoring on outbound calls
Business Texting on Your Numbers
SMS · MMS · 10DLC registration
Send SMS text and MMS picture messages from the business numbers your customers already know. We handle 10DLC (10-digit long code) registration, which US carriers expect before they deliver business texts from local numbers.
- Reminders, order updates and dispatch texts
- Photos by MMS from drivers and crews
- Brand and campaign registration handled
- STOP and HELP replies set up for you
Call Queues and Contact-Center Tools
Queues · callbacks · wallboards · listen, whisper, barge
Send callers to the right queue and offer a callback instead of a long hold. Supervisors watch live queue status on wallboards and can listen in, whisper to an agent or join a call to help.
- Queues and ring groups for each team
- Callbacks so callers don’t wait on hold
- Call recording for training and review
- Queue reports in a CallOptic dashboard
Desk Phones, Mobile and Desktop Apps
Yealink · Grandstream · 3CX apps
One extension rings on a desk phone, a cell phone and a laptop, so calls follow people wherever they work. Many Yealink and Grandstream SIP phones you already own can stay in service.
- Desk phones supplied and installed
- Apps for mobile phones and computers
- We check which phones can be reused
Numbers, Porting, Toll-Free and E911
Local · toll-free · E911
Keep the numbers your customers know. We port them from your current carrier, add local or toll-free numbers, and set up E911 (enhanced 911) so emergency calls carry an address dispatchers can use.
- Simple ports often take a week or two
- Larger or multi-carrier ports take longer
- Cutover scheduled so calls keep flowing
- An emergency address set for each site
E-Fax and Analog Fax
Fax to email · analog where needed
Faxes sent to your number arrive in email, so nobody has to wait by the machine. Where a pharmacy, clinic or office still depends on a fax machine, we keep it running on the new service.
- Keep the fax numbers you have
- Analog fax machines where still needed
- Fax lines can move off copper too
Copper Line Replacement
POTS replacement · LTE gateway · battery backup
Retire costly copper phone lines (POTS) without replacing your fire panel, elevator phone or fax machine. Each one plugs into a monitored LTE cellular gateway with battery backup instead.
- Fire, elevator, alarm and gate lines
- Dual-carrier service for life safety
- Testing coordinated with your alarm company
Copper exit
Copper lines are being retired. Your fire panel still needs a dial tone.
Carriers are shutting down copper and raising prices on the lines that remain. Once fees are added, copper lines cost many businesses far more than they used to. SCi moves those lines to monitored LTE service that your existing equipment plugs straight into.
Where copper hides in most buildings
- Fire alarm panels
- Elevator phones
- Fax machines
- Security and alarm panels
- Pool and emergency phones
- Card terminals
- Gate and door entry
Not sure how many copper lines you have?
Most buildings have more than anyone remembers. Send us a recent phone bill, or a list of what plugs into a phone line, and we’ll count them, find the ones that matter for safety and design the replacement.
Request a copper reviewEach replacement includes an LTE gateway, battery backup and monitoring, with dual-carrier service for fire and elevator lines.
Choosing a setup
Three common ways to get calling from SCi, and when each fits
Each one gives you business calling on your own numbers, with SCi as your single point of contact. The difference is where your people make calls and what you already own.
| Choice | Best when | What you keep | What SCi handles |
|---|---|---|---|
| 3CX Phone System, Hosted or On-Site | You want one complete phone system on desk phones and apps, with queues, recording and an auto attendant | Your numbers, plus many Yealink and Grandstream phones you already own | Design, hosting or your on-site server, porting, phones, training, updates and off-site backups |
| Microsoft Teams Calling | Your people already work in Teams all day and want business calls in the same app | Your Teams setup and licenses, your numbers, and desk phones where you still want them | The Direct Routing gateway, carrier service, porting, Teams calling setup and support |
| SIP Trunks for Your Current System | Your phone system still works well, but the PRI or analog lines behind it are aging or costly | Your phone system, handsets, extensions and call routing | The trunks, porting, toll-free numbers, E911, toll-fraud monitoring and any carrier trouble |
Not sure which fits? Tell us what you run today. We review your bills, contracts and equipment, then recommend one in a written, itemized proposal.
Business texting and 10DLC
Business texting starts with 10DLC registration
US carriers expect every business that texts from a local number to register first. We handle the registration with you and set up your numbers to follow the carriers’ rules.
10DLC stands for 10-digit long code: an ordinary local phone number used for business texting. Texts a business sends through a phone system, app or software count as A2P (application-to-person) messaging, and the major US carriers filter or block that traffic from local numbers when it isn’t registered.
Registration runs through The Campaign Registry, the industry registry the carriers rely on. Your business is registered as a brand, and each kind of texting you do, such as appointment reminders or delivery updates, becomes a campaign with sample messages and a description of how people opt in. Campaigns are reviewed before approval, and the registry and carriers charge fees that vary. Timing depends on the review, and we tell you what to expect up front.
Consent matters as much as registration. People need to opt in before you text them and must be able to stop at any time, and replies such as STOP and HELP need the right automatic response. We build those in from the start. Driver MMS Dispatch, the dispatch app we built, runs on the same business MMS service.
- We register your brand and campaign with The Campaign Registry
- We write sample messages and opt-in wording with you
- We set up STOP and HELP replies on your numbers
- We add your texting numbers to the approved campaign
- If a campaign comes back for changes, we revise and resubmit it
What We’ll Ask You For
- Business Details
- Your legal business name, tax ID (EIN), address and website, matching your tax records.
- How People Opt In
- Where customers agree to get your texts, such as a web form, a paper signup or a keyword they text to you, and the exact wording they see.
- Sample Messages
- A few real examples of what you plan to send, written the way customers will see them.
- A Privacy Policy
- A policy on your website stating that mobile numbers and opt-in data aren’t shared with third parties for marketing.
How a phone project runs
From first conversation to ongoing care, with one local team
SCi engineers lead every phone project, and you know what comes next at each step.
Discovery
We learn how calls, texts and faxes move through your business today. We review your bills, contracts and equipment, including which phones can be reused.
Design and Proposal
An engineer designs your call flow, numbers, queues and hardware. You get an itemized proposal in writing, and nothing is ordered until you approve it.
Porting and Install
We start the number port, build the system, then install and test the phones. Porting time depends on the carriers involved, and we share the schedule up front.
Training and Cutover
Your team learns the phones and apps before go-live. We schedule the cutover so calls keep flowing, then check in with your staff over the first days.
Ongoing Care
We keep managed systems updated, backed up off-site and watched for toll fraud. Call any hour, or email support and a ticket opens automatically.

Questions
Phone system questions, answered plainly
Still unsure? Call (816) 298-4100 and an engineer will walk you through it.
Can we keep our phone numbers?
Yes. We port your numbers from your current carrier and schedule the cutover so calls keep flowing. Simple ports often take a week or two, while larger or multi-carrier ports take longer. We confirm the timing with you before anything changes.
Do we have to replace the phone system we have now?
No. If it still serves you well, SIP trunks can replace the PRI or analog lines behind it, and we work with 3CX, Avaya, NEC, Mitel, Cisco and most IP-PBXs. If it’s near the end of its life, we’ll show you what moving to 3CX or Teams involves. Many Yealink and Grandstream phones can come with you.
What licenses do we need for Microsoft Teams calling?
Each person who makes and takes calls in Teams needs a Teams Phone license, which some Microsoft 365 plans include and others add on. With Direct Routing you don’t need a Microsoft Calling Plan, because the dial tone comes from our gateway. We check your current licenses during discovery and tell you what’s missing.
Do we need 10DLC registration to text our customers?
Yes, if you text from a local 10-digit business number through a phone system, app or software. The major US carriers filter or block unregistered business texts from local numbers. We register your brand and campaign, set up opt-in, STOP and HELP, and explain the fees and review time up front. Toll-free numbers go through a separate verification instead.
How does E911 work for people who work from home?
E911 (enhanced 911) sends a caller’s location to dispatchers, so for someone working from home, that location has to be their home and not the office. We register an emergency address for each remote user and update it when they tell us it changes. Mobile and desktop apps have limits when people are on the move, and we go over them with you before go-live.
What happens to our copper phone lines?
Fire panels, elevator phones, alarms, fax machines, gates and card terminals can move from copper to a monitored LTE gateway with battery backup, with dual-carrier service for life-safety lines. We coordinate testing with your alarm company, and in most cases your equipment stays in place.
What contract terms do you offer?
Month-to-month, 12-month and 36-month terms are available. Your proposal is itemized in writing with the term spelled out.
Who do we call when something goes wrong?
Call (816) 298-4100 at any hour. Specialists are on duty 24/7/365. Or email scisupport@scitel.net and a ticket opens automatically, with the ticket number emailed to you right away. We’re also your single point of contact with your carriers, even for services you don’t buy from us.
